YouTube Goes Widescreen

YouTube has just announced that all of their videos can now be watched in the widescreen format.
YouTube announced the new video format today on their blog. This is pretty exciting news, it brings YouTube up to date with their videos, and helps them fight off newcomers like Hulu.

Here is a screenshot of a video that is in the widescreen format.

Any of the older style videos that have not been recorded in widescreen can still be viewed but they will have the bars either side of the video.
