61 Free Blog Pinging Services

The beauty of Wordpress is the huge number of plugins that are available.  But my favorite would have to be a service that is already available within Wordpress itself.  Its called ‘Update Services’ and it can be found in the Writing tab under Options.  Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and you will see a text box with 1 link in it.  Usually the link is to Pingomatic.  Every time you publish a new blog post, Wordpress will notify Pingomatic.

Pingomatic is a free service which will then go ahead and notify about 20 different blog search engines that you have made a new blog post. Pretty cool.
Did you even know it was in there?  Some people dont, but many do.  However, you can actually take the Update Services function within Wordpress a little further.  You can add as many pinging services as you want. The more you add, the more your post will be submitted to different places around the web.
