End of Month Results: April 2008

As a wannabe blogger, I thought I would share the blog results with all of you. I will do this every month from now on.
April 2008. My first month with Slave to the Internet and I have to say I’m pretty happy with the results after just 2 weeks. Slave to the Internet only started on April 16th. So, its been going for about 14 days.
The highlights for April would have to be the success of the post 13 Awesome Screensavers with over 80,000 views. This page was Stumbled and Dugg. Both of these pumped a huge amount of traffic to the site. 13 Awesome Screensavers is also on Reddit and de.licio.us.
I want to personally thank those who Dugg this post and gave it the thumbs up at StumbleUpon.

Now the juicy facts. Lets have a look shall we??

PageRank: 0 - I didnt expect this to move.
Alexa: 1,832,153 - This is crap.
Total Uniques: 62,864
Backlinks: 257
Readers: 88
Income: $8.71

Nothing really exciting in these results apart from the unique visits. Its going to be hard to try and top that for May.

My goals for May are to boost the revenue into double digits. This shouldn’t be too hard considering I have twice as much time to do that. Google Adsense was only added a few days ago and Project Wonderful has been on the site since day one.

Targets for May include pushing the numbers of readers up to over 100, so I just need 12 more. Increasing the number of backlinks to the site to over 300 would also be nice.
